Republicans Should Learn To Play Hardball

Hillary Clinton put highly classified government secrets on unsecured, unauthorized storage platforms.  Acts that would have gotten other government employees and military personnel prison time.  She was exonerated.   Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General, defied Congressional subpoenas for information on a gun-running scheme by the ATF.  He was not indicted for Contempt of Congress as two of President’s Trump staffers, Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro were. The Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters destroyed over $10 million in property, and one federal police officer was killed during the George Floyd riots of 2020.  Vice-President Kamala Harris and other Democrat elites raised funds for bail for the rioters and very few rioters were prosecuted.  Contrast those riots with the attack on the U.S. Capitol where the FBI hunted down the rioters like Al Qaeda terrorists and the rioters are being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Some of my Republican colleagues say that these facts are examples of the federal government’s failure to enforce the rule of law fairly and objectively.  I say they are examples of the Democrats playing hardball and the Republicans playing “beachball”.   If a District Attorney or a U.S. Attorney is a Democrat, he will pick and choose who he prosecutes based on the prevailing political winds of the moment.  Republican District Attorneys and U.S. Attorneys will play by the book and prosecute based on the rule of law.  If the Republicans don’t get off their duffs and start playing politics like the Democrats, we are going to have our heads handed to us once again.  Republicans it is past time for being “Mr. Nice Guy”.  Politics is a blood sport and Republicans need to stop being the ones who bleed.
